Responsibilities
Set the applied-research agenda in partnership with product leads.
Run experiments with the rigour of a lab and the deadlines of a startup.
Bring the frontier back to the team in usable form.
Requirements
PhD or equivalent industry track record in ML/NLP/IR.
Publications, patents or open-source with real impact.
Strong engineering — you can ship, not just prototype.
Right to work in the UK.
Nice to Have
Experience translating research into commercial product.
Reviewer for major venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ACL, EMNLP).
